You know Twitter, right? But I’m not sure whether you know Mastodon or not. Its first release was in October 2016 and soon became popular in the tech scene. It’s a free and open-source self-hosted social networking service. It has microblogging features similar to Twitter.
Though I start using Twitter again in the middle of this year, in 2016, I already quit using Twitter, so I had no interest back then. Since I’ve been using “Micro.blog”, I found an article that shows how to enable ActivityPub support. I was digging into Mastodon instance, and I saw and joining Fosstodon, an English-speaking Mastodon instance open to anyone interested in technology, particularly free & open-source software.
I have no idea how to use Fosstodon efficiently right now. I will look for something I haven’t known about Mastodon under the id of @x5gtrn. Before that, I need to download some mobile apps and desktop apps for Mastodon and try them and pick up to use.
Ah, I made yet another not urgent task… But I want to do it sooner.
